So, are you quite happy with your $100+ soundcard purchase now?  And, to
be clear, this is comming from the owner of multiple SBLive cards.

It's funny, though...  A $15 card does a better job at most things, than
an expensive card.  Also, the higher quality the soundcard, the harder
it is to get it working with the supposedly high-quality ALSA...  OSS
works better with my SBLive and other high-quality cards, in my
experience.

I certainly wish you luck, but don't expect you'll have much...  You
can't have two programs reading from your TV-tuner card at the same
time, so your timing has to be perfect.  Plus, mencoder caches
video before it encodes, so -endpos with a size will likely disregard a
small ammount of video data on it's own, even if you are able to start a
seperate instance immediately after the first one quits.
