[MPlayer-users] Newbie question

Hi all,

I just installed Mplayer on a linux (FC2) box. I tried reading through
the manual but there is such a huge list of options, I'm quite lost ;-)

What is the simplest way of using mencoder to grab video off a capture
card? I have a WinTV card, and video coming into it from a camera. The
device is /dev/video0. I'd like to capture the video into a file, using
a lossless codec (DV?).

What would be the correct way of running mencoder to accomplish this?
