No problems here..
Also, if you compile from source, you probably won't have your existing 
mplayer files overwritten since the cvs version will install the files 
in /usr/local by default. If problems arise, just make sure that your tools 
use the mplayer located in /usr/bin (where I guess your existing mplayer is 
located).
