[MPlayer-users] embedded subtitles in OGM files (again, with a twist...)

Hello all,

I've just compiled mplayer 1.0pre6a from source, everything is ok, looks
good, mostly stable, using gcc 3.4.1 from Mandrake 10.1. However I'm having
problems with a set of OGM files I've made as backups for my DVDs. I usually
mux them as follow: video (XVID), French (Vorbis), original version
(Vorbis), french subtitles (SRT) using virtualdubmod 2424. These play OK
using MediaPlayerClassic + ffdshow in Windows, however Mplayer recognizes
the 2 audio streams as soundtrack 1, and dubs subtitles as soundtrack 2 -
which of course can't be decoded. I was having the same problem with the
1.0pre5 version packaged with Mandrake 10.1, thus my building from source.

I compiled with --enable-gui --enable-menu

It might stem from the facts that my streams don't have tags, but how can
MPC parse them correctly and Mplayer can't? More importantly, what can I do
to work around this problem without demuxing my files?

Thanks for any help,

The Mitch
