I used this setting in the config file, and in all appearance it worked, 
and watched a DVD in widescreen. My screen is 15.4'' wide, and 
resolution is 1280x800. What i was wondering is how the 16:9 aspect 
ratio is achieved in this resolution. For 16:9 ratio, my resolution 
would need to be 1280x720, but that resolution is not supported. The 
answer appears to be the 80 extra pixels are unused and left black, 40 
of them on the left edge, and 40 on the right. Is this correct?

P.S. I did notice narrow black strips on left and right, and even 
narrower ones on top and bottom.
