Hi,
I've just installed Mplayer from cvs (20050806). Running AMD64 on Debian
Sid (kernel 2.6.11).
When I fire up gmplayer I get
$gmplayer
...
Linux RTC init error in ioctl (rtc_irqp_set 1024): Inappropriate ioctl for
device
Try adding "echo 1024 > /proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq" to your system
startup scripts.
Setting up LIRC support...following the instrauctions and doing a
$ cat /proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq
1024
gives the result shown, but mplayer still shows the error.
Checking the kernel it looks as if rtc is at least here:
$ cat /usr/src/linux-2.6.11-kanotix64-11/.config-20050810 |grep RTC
CONFIG_HPET_EMULATE_RTC is not set
CONFIG_RTC=y
# CONFIG_HPET_RTC_IRQ is not set
CONFIG_SENSORS_RTC8564=m
CONFIG_SND_RTCTIMER=m
What am I missing here?
Cheers
