It's been discussed many times, and basically the reason is that some
of us think they're wrong more often than right, or else they're "too
correct" and cause silly off-by-one issues in scaling because the
monitor is 16.001:9 rather than 16:9 or such. Anyway use monitoraspect
and you'll be fine.
