I have backed up a video tape on DVD using the JVC DR-MH20S burner.
The DVD-R is finalized and I can read the different VOB files on it
individually, but if I use mplayer (there is the same problem with xine) to
play the DVD as a normal video DVD, here is the message I get :

Joue dvd://
Lecture de la structure du disque, veuillez patienter...
*** Zero check failed in ifo_read.c:311
    for vmgi_mat->zero_3 = 0x00000000010000000000000000000000000000
libdvdread: Invalid main menu IFO (VIDEO_TS.IFO).
Can't open VMG info!

English translation of the message is :

Play dvd://
Reading the disc structure, please wait...
*** Zero check failed in ifo_read.c:311
    for vmgi_mat->zero_3 = 0x00000000010000000000000000000000000000
libdvdread: Invalid main menu IFO (VIDEO_TS.IFO).
Can't open VMG info!

I don't think it is a problem of mplayer (or xine) but a problem of the dvd
burner which does not produce correct video DVD, but it is really annoying.

Here is the structure of the disc :

VIDEO_TS
  |_  VIDEO_TS.BUP
  |_  VIDEO_TS.IFO
  |_  VIDEO_TS.VOB
  |_  VTS_01_0.BUP
  |_  VTS_01_0.IFO
  |_  VTS_01_1.VOB
  |_  VTS_01_2.VOB
  |_  VTS_01_3.VOB
  |_  VTS_01_4.VOB

The content of VIDEO_TS.BUP and VIDEO_TS.IFO is :
DVDVIDEO-VMG

The size of VIDEO_TS.BUP and VIDEO_TS.IFO is 12ko

The content of VTS_01_0.BUP and VTS_01_0.IFO is :
DVDVIDEO-VTS

The size of VTS_01_0.BUP and VTS_01_0.IFO is 78ko

Thank you for the help

Thierry
