[MPlayer-users] Video clip (.avi) from camera works with windows media player but fails with mplayer

I can play it perfectly. I have mplayer installed from DEB provided by:
http://hpisi.nerim.net/  by Christian Marillat

Try to use this command:
mplayer -vc ffmjpeg -vo xv broken.avi

or use x11 instead of xv.
