[MPlayer-users] compiling with JACK support

Hello,

I can't figure out how to compile mplayer (1.0pre6) with JACK support. I 
have installed bio2jack, but even when I run ./configure 
--with-bio2jack=dir-to-bio2jack, JACK isn't found. Well, actually, 
configure.log says

============ Checking for JACK ============
0.99.0
Result is: no
##########################################

which is odd because 0.99.0 is my JACK version, so why does it say "no"?

Has anyone managed to get mplayer use JACK? (I'm on Debian unstable, if 
that's relevant.)
