[MPlayer-users] Specify path for a specific codec

Hello,

is it possible to specify the path of a specific codec when running
mplayer? I couldn't find anything in the documentation.

It's possible to specify the path while compiling mplayer.
But I'm shipping mplayer on a Linux Live-CD system and due to
license problems I'm not able to provide all codecs users would like
to get.

It would be nice to use it via something like:
$ mplayer -codec /path/to/codec ...

So people could use specific codecs I can not ship with the
distribution via usb sticks for example.

Is this possible?

Thanks for any feedback.

regards,
