Hi,

If this question has been answered elsewhere, please point me to the thread.

I've have a version 2 TiVo and recently I installed TiVo Desktop to transfer
shows, etc. The problem is playing them... In Windows you need a codec, most
of which are not free. I tried one, it didn't work, etc. So, I'm wondering
how I could play those files in Linux with mplayer.

The files seem to be encrypted and when you play them with mplayer you see a
lot of: "Encrypted VOB file! Read DOCS/HTML/en/dvd.html.".

Is there a way to play these files in Linux period?

Once again, if this has been answered a million times, I apologize. I did look
in the archives...

Thanks.
