First, try the most recent CVS snapshot you can, to see if the problem
goes away.  If not:

See if you can capture the problem to a local file.  Use "-dumpstream"
to get a local copy, and see if you can reproduce the problem with that
file. Sharing a problematic clip will usually convince someone to fix
the problem.

Add "-v" to your command-line when playing that stream, and
if anything interesting appears in mplayer's debugging output when the
stream becomes garbled, post it here (the ENTIRE output of mplayer -v).
