[MPlayer-users] capturing and seeking

Hi

I am capturing video from a camera using mencoder in mpeg4
format.

With the captured video feed, I can playback a segment in
mplayer -ss and -endpos options.

However, having read from previous posts, the -ss is
inaccurate for mpeg files.

Because I am controlling the capturing, is there anything I
can add into the mencoder capture command to help seeking by
the mplayer command?
