[MPlayer-users] Experiences with xorg 6.8.2 ?

Hi,
currently I use a Radeon 7000 that works well enough with xfree86.
I'm considering to upgrade my X to xorg 6.8.2 (as a consequence of a major
distribution upgrade), but I remember reading horror stories about 
xorg's broken
xv (and maybe xvidix).

Can anyone share some experience, please?
Does 6.8.2  work plain good or are there still problems?
