[MPlayer-users] vop not coded

Hi. I'm trying to play a video file, but I'm getting jerky video on my
system (1.07 GHz iBook G4, 256 MB RAM). I get the following error
during playback, but the file keeps playing:
vop not coded 0.3 A-V: 0.533 ct: 0.028 8/ 8 0% 0% 0.0% 7 0 0%
It's the "vop not coded" part I don't understand. After that, I know
what's going on. It appears for quite a number of lines, at an almost
frame-to-frame interval, as best as I can guess. Below is the -V
output:
Tenshi:~/Movies ivan$ mplayer -V battlestar\ galactica\ -\ 102\ -\
water.avi

I wouldn't be quite so alarmed, except that the file plays perfectly
fine on my XBox (MPlayer in XBox Media Center), which runs off of a
Intel Celeron 733, which eliminates processing power as a question.
Data rate is also ruled out. This file streams off of my server to the
XBox at a maximum speed of about 500-700 KBytes/sec while it's playing
from the hard disk of my iBook. The file plays mostly smooth in
QuickTime with a few compression artifacts showing up here and there
from dropped B frames (or that's what it looks like). Any ideas?
