[MPlayer-users] Black screen with mplayer -vo directfb

Hello all,

I am trying to get directf working with vesafb-tng.  I know vesafb-tng
works because I can run Xwindows on it, and the nice penquin logo
comes during bootup.  I can also run mplayer with vesa driver.  When I
play with directfb driver, all I get is a black screen.  No error
messages are reported though.

My config (gentoo)
Kernel 2.6.10-gentoo-r6 (VESA VGA graphics support compiled in with vesafb-tng)
DirectFB 0.9.20
MPlayer 1.0pre5try2-3.3.4
