[MPlayer-users] /usr/lib/codecs/avisynth.dll missing - but is that error message a bug?

I'm attempting to play:
http://www.archive.org/stream/more_dangerous_then_dynamite/more_dangerous_then_dynamite_64kb.mp4

And I get:
> mplayer more_dangerous_then_dynamite_64kb.mp4

Playing more_dangerous_then_dynamite_64kb.mp4.
Win32 LoadLibrary failed to load: avisynth.dll,
/usr/lib/codecs/avisynth.dll, /usr/lib/win32/avisynth.dll,
/usr/local/lib/win32/avisynth.dll
Exiting... (End of file)

But is that the real answer? Missing avisynth.dll? Maybe not:

Any hints on what this file is? Any chance of a better error message in
a future release?
