It was my mistake - a wrong remote button name (in lirc), SUBTITLE instead 
SUB. Now everything works fine but I have another question (I read the man 
(I swear!) but can't find the answer).

How to specify (especially decrease) font size for subtitles? I use ttf font 
and subtitles looks to big for me.
