[MPlayer-users] subtitles problem in mplayer

Trying to watch "The Passion of the Christ" from the original dvd, and
mplayer does display the subtitles, but it skips maybe half of them. Has
anybody had this problem? Is there a fix? Would any of the developers
be willing to look into it? If there's any useful info I can provide, I'd
be happy to.

I'm pretty sure it's an mplayer problem, because vlc and xine play the
movie and the subtitles fine.
