Yes, that works, with sound.  It's not a good alternative to proper bin
file handling, IMHO.

VCD/SVCD images need a different value for N.  Often you'll find bins
without a cue file.  Direct handling of bins in mplayer/mencoder mostly
works (perfectly up until this bug).  Much older versions of mplayer
handle this bug-inducing file properly.
