I can run video mpeg4 (if incapsulated inside a .mov file)
if I try to lauch them not incapsulated with .mp4 file extension, mplayer doesn't work (it crashes)
The output is:

MPlayer interrupted by signal 6 in module: decode_video
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug.

and if I've well understood the error is here:

mplayer: h264.c:2313: mc_dir_part: Assertion `pic->data[0]' failed.

I use a debian mplayer package from marillat.free.fr
It is a MPlayer 1.0pre7-3.3.5 with w32codecs
It isn't a big problem (we can incapsulate in .mov file) but a little curiosity
TIA
Michele
