[MPlayer-users] Is it possible to use MMS over UDP with Mplayer?

I have a test URI:
http://nettitv.mtv3.fi/ssi/bb-testi.asx
which points to mms://213.192.140.34/webtv/test/test.wmv
This works with
mplayer -playlist http://nettitv.mtv3.fi/ssi/bb-testi.asx
But it is using just TCP for MMS. They recommend to use UDP, and in MS
Windows Mediaplayer UDP can be used as a transport protocol.
So is it somehow possible to enforce Mplayer to use UDP also?
The codec they use is WMV9, so vlc cannot be used, neither
gstreamer-tools, I guess. And wouldn't right now know if they supported
MMS over UDP either. Any other viewers/tools to try?
Just plain MMS-streamer could be used to dump the file to a fifo, and
then play the stream from the fifo, but is there such a tool available
for Linux, does anyone know?
