[MPlayer-users] gif fourcc

Hello,

I am new to the list.
I've been using mplayer for ages, it's one of my top
movie player on linux. But lately, I've had problem
with movie files which have a fourcc [gif ]. mplayer
then gives up playing them with the following :

=========================================================================
Cannot find codec matching selected -vo and video
format 0x20666967.
Read DOCS/HTML/en/codecs.html!
==========================================================================

Does anyone have a remedy to this ?
