Well, there's one way to find out. Give it a try. But, if you're  
asking about buying one, there's no way to know without having a  
sample file to look at (or more information on the format). If you're  
looking into buying a dictaphone, perhaps you might want to invest in  
something a little less... proprietary. iRiver MP3 players record  
directly to MP3, and iPods with a mic can record to WAV (with a mic  
adapter, not an add-on mic, you can use any microphone handy). There  
are other devices with similar capabilities, with far less unique  
formats.
