It's called "AVI"demux for a reason. I suggest using mencoder to remux
the ts to an AVI, then trying to edit it with avidemux2.
Since it seems you're planning on encoding to Xvid, it may work better
if you re-encode video first (copy the audio), then use avidemux on the
output file (and then re-encode the audio).
Alternatively, you can look at the -edl, -edlout, and -hr-edl-seek
options for mplayer, but I must say I haven't had very good luck
with edl. If you have kdelibs installed, you could try kmenc15.
You could try gopchop or gopdit, but I've also had no luck with either
of them when I needed it.
