Well, it's probably a good idea to include everything you've provided  
here. Not all members of the ffmpeg-devel list are subscribed to the  
mplayer-users list (though I'm there are a few). It's entirely  
possible that those people who don't subscribe to both may be able to  
contribute to the solution to your problem. It's always a good idea  
to be as thorough as possible, so as to maximize efficiency, and  
reduce the amount of time it takes to solve a problem (God, I sound  
like some sort of manager!)
