For the curious -- it's running fine with Xinerama and xv. Each mplayer
process uses up to 14% CPU, the total CPU usage with X.org is 64%.

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+
MPlayer: MPlayer 2:0.99+1.0pre7try2+cvs20060117-0ubuntu6 from the
mplayer-amd64 package
