for me the strange thing is, if i _first _use :
"mplayer -vo xv -ao jack dvd://4 -dvd-device
/home/nowhiskey/moves/wenders/video_ts/",
mplayer will start playing, if i _than_ use :
"mplayer -v dvd://4 -dvd-device /home/nowhiskey/moves/wenders/video_ts/",
mplayer will start playing too, but if i _only _use "....-v....", i get
the output above!
it is confusing, i hope that you got it.

mplayer does not starts, i have been waiting about 10 minutes, and it
takes long time to be killed (very strange for me).
the same if i use "..../dev/dvd".
i recompiled with the option --enable-largefile, but nothing changed, so
i recompiled one more time without this option.
the console output above is from mplayer compiled without this option.
