[MPlayer-users] Difference between [DX60] and [divx] in mplayer output

Hello everyone,

I have two avi files. When I run it thru the command line, the first part ot 
the mplayer output looks like:

AVI file format detected.
VIDEO:  [divx]  320x240  24bpp  30.000 fps  375.0 kbps (45.8 kbyte/s)

The other one:

VI file format detected.
VIDEO:  [DX50]  416x312  24bpp  29.970 fps  640.0 kbps (78.1 kbyte/s)

What's the difference between divx and DX50 here? Is it a matter of the codec 
version used? Does different versions of the same codec produce different 
headers?
