I'm grabbing mpeg2 data from my tivo. If I recode as mpeg4, using: mencoder tivo://192.168.1.102/257319 -o who6.avi -ovc lavc -oac lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4 The result looks terrible. Every time there is significant motion there is really obvious blocking. What's wrong here? If I don't recode, just using -ovc copy, it looks fine.
