Folks,

Question, can it be made so that if menus are enabled but not displayed, 
mplayer behaves the same way as when there are no menus enabled at 
command line?

doing some more benchark (on different machine than my last email) I 
noticed that with no menu enabled mplayer spends 95% of time in VC, and 
~0% of time in VO. On the other hand with VO option enabled, but no menu 
displayed, it changes to VC=25% and VO=70%!
