[MPlayer-users] Doubt about -monitor-aspect

Well , hi guys , i hope someone can help me understand -monitoraspect option
in mplayer.
for example . I have a widescreen monitor in my laptop , and i use 1440x900
resolution.
So , should i use -monitoraspect 16/9 [widescreen default] or -monitoraspect
1440/900 ?
