[MPlayer-users] Why won't MPlayer play my DVDs?

So I have the Office Space DVD (with Flair!), and I've been 
trying to get it to work on my new LITE-ON DVDRW SHW-160P6S.  It 
doesn't like me.  I think it has RPC 2, but I can't set the 
region (all my DVDs are Region 1, and I don't see any reason to 
change it, so that's all I need).  It keeps suggesting that I 
read DOCS/HTML/en/dvd.html, but that doesn't help muxh, except 
to tell me to get new firmware.  But I have no clue how to 
install the new firmware unless I use Windows.  And I have no 
access to Windows.  Regionset doesn't work.  Also, ogle and vlc 
don't work.

Little help?
