[MPlayer-users] msmpeg4v2 does not play with quicktime plugin npqtplugin2.dll

My digital camera produces quicktime movies. I wanted to convert them 
into a more compressed mpeg4 format. I used the following command line

mencoder -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=msmpeg4v2 -o PC290052.mpg PC290052.MOV

This plays fine in realplayer and windows media player. However, 
quicktime says it cannot play it. Both the Since I'd like to use the 
quicktime plugin in mozilla to play it, I am stuck. Any suggestions
