[MPlayer-users] play mpeg4 stream in mov container

Hi to the list,

I have saved to a file a video stream of a tv show using vlc. I've
used the wizard and selected the .mov container without audio or video
re-encoding. I've have tried before to record some seconds and I
obtained a file which I can play with no problem in mplayer.

The show I was interested was a bit longer so I ened up with a 1GB
file. This file can't be played with mplayer (and in vlc too) and I
can't figure out which is the reason. Maybe the mov container can't
handle 1GB files?

That show were important to me. Is there a way I can try to see the
video that is recorded in the file?

I think the stream is mpeg4, and the container as said is mov.

At the end of the email there are 3 logs. The first is the log of
mplayer playing the stream itself (and plays fine). The second it's
mplayer trying to play the recorded 1GB file (but there is no video,
only some distorted audio). The third is mplayer playing a much
smaller file recorded from the same source with the same steps in vlc
(and this plays fine too).

Can someone give me some hit?
