I recently used -speed 25025/24000 with mencoder to convert a 23.976fps
video to 25fps for a PAL VCD and it worked perfectly. I thought I could
use the same option with mplayer to play 23.976fps more smoothly on my
PAL TV (using -vo dfbmga:fieldparity=top -vsync). I prefer to always use
-vsync otherwise I get visible tearing. But -speed doesn't seem to work
then:- I can still see a frame jump every second. Does -speed only work
with mencoder?
