Hi,

I am trying to get mplayer for windows to play a dvd. Although I can get
mplayer to play all sorts of media files, I cannot get it to play a dvd.
Do I need to download the libdvdcss library seperately? If so, where do
I get the libdvdcss library (for windows)? And what exactly is this
library named? When I execute 'mplayer dvd://1' I get the following
response:

        C:\mplayer>mplayer dvd://1
        MPlayer 1.0pre8-3.4.2 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team

        c:/windows/fonts/arial.ttf doesn't look like a font description,
ignoring.
        Cannot load font: c:/windows/fonts/arial.ttf

        Playing dvd://1.
libdvdread: Could not open D: with libdvdcss.
libdvdread: Can't open D: for reading
        Couldn't open DVD device: D:
        File not found: '1'
        Failed to open dvd://1.

        Exiting... (End of file)

thanks,

matthew
