Comes out as RAW video to me. Is this supposed to be the video with  
the RGB, or the RAW?

It's identified as an RGB color space, though.

I just tried what you punched in. I get identical output from both  
videos. No problems.

What is "standard" form? The file fits the AVI spec appropriately.  
MPlayer plays it, though VLC does not. However, VLC claims not to  
understand the FOURCC "RGB," so it's more of a thing where the file  
is properly formatted and such, it's just that VLC doesn't know what  
the video is. I think the problem isn't with MPlayer, but whatever  
you're using to import the file.

What's wrong, though, with just importing the dumped file? It's RAW/ 
RGB video, isn't it?
