[MPlayer-users] rotating video 90 degrees

Hi all,

A friend gave me an interesting project to play with, a vid of his 
daughter's birthday party. Not a big deal, right? His mother held his 
camcorder _sideways_ so the 16/9 window is up and down. Now I can cut 
the section out of the vid that needs to be rotated 90 degrees, but  
will mencoder rotate the image so the vid can be salvaged? And how would 
I go about this?
