SPARCv9 (SPARC64, which is what the UltraSPARC-T1 is) is uses the
synonym 'v9'.  This is used for any UltraSPARC, so there's nothing to
prevent 'configure' to detecing the processor.  I suspect there is a
Bash-ism or conflict with the Solaris userland tools in the pre7try2
script that is preventing the T1 from being detected.
