It works perfectly for MPlayer-1.0pre8! Thanks a lot!

I had to build my MPlayer for the first time on my own but it was worth
it!

I did not fully understand Rickard's remark - for non-latin1-characters
in file names: where should I use _NET_WM_NAME?
