[MPlayer-users] Mplayer won't play dvd's

It seems that mplayer's installation was successful on my Debian Sarge,
I can also launch it with:

 $ gmplayer

, but when I try to play a dvd, a window opens up saying:

 Failed to open dvd://1.

, and on the terminal there is:

 Playing dvd://1.
 libdvdread: Couldn't find device name.
 Reading disc structure, please wait...
 libdvdread: Can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO.
 Can't open VMG info!
 File not found: '1'
 Failed to open dvd://1.

. Can anybody provide any help!, thanks in advance.
