I apologize in advance for the long email, but I want to include as much
info as possible. I posted once before about problems with playing
content from oneplace.com. There was some discussion between Reimar
Döffinger and Bryan Alton, but no resolution. I never was successful,
but stopped trying due to other priorities. With the release of 1.0 pre
8, I decided to try again. I am running Ubuntu Dapper with all latest
updates (gcc version 4.0.3). I installed all-20060611 in the default
location. I downloaded a clean tree from subversion five hours ago, and
compiled it with the following configuration:
./configure --enable-gui --disable-lirc --disable-lircc
--disable-joystick --disable-inet6 --disable-ossaudio --disable-arts
You may view my configure.log at
http://www.criderpublishing.com/configure.log
When I try to play real media content, I get the following output:
$mplayer -v -playlist

FWIW, I got similar results trying to listen to news updates at BBC, but
successfully played Real Media streams from NPR.
When I try to play windows media content, I get this after connecting to
the server:
$mplayer -v -playlist
http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia/swn/oneplace/wm/tfl/tfl20060616.wax
> MPlayer interrupted by signal 13 in module: open_stream

Does anybody have any ideas on what is wrong?
