[MPlayer-users] Problem playing VP6/NSV files with MPlayer 1.0pre8

Hi,

I hope this is the correct place to report this. I did read the "How to report
bugs" section of the documentation but didn't find any information on exactly
where to report problems.

I'm attempting to play a VP6 NSV stream using MPlayer 1.0pre8 Windows build,
however I keep receiving an error saying "MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in
module: init_video_codec".

Playing other video formats appears to be fine, even VP3 NSV streams. The
problems appears to be isolated to the VP6 codec.

I recently upgraded my video card drivers, so I thought this may be causing the
problem. However I have now rolled back to my previous version and this does not
appear to make a difference.

Interestingly, I have tried the exact same MPlayer and Codec build on my work
machine - which uses a Matrox video card - and the stream plays correctly. So
I'm thinking this problem may be related to the NVidia driver(s) in some way?

My system setup is as follows:

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz
RAM: 512MB DDR
Video: Winfast Geforce 3 Ti200 (Running NVidia driver version 8.1.9.8)
MPlayer Build: MPlayer-mingw32-1.0pre8
Codecs: essential-20060611

The log from MPlayer is as follows:

MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: init_video_codec
- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.
Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and
  disassembly. Details in DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports_what.html#bugreports_crash.
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug.
