[MPlayer-users] Why won't MPlayer play my DVDs?

Okay, this really looks like you don't have css support working, for one
reason or another.  You might want to download and compile the latest
version of libdvdcss and libdvdread, then compile mplayer with
--disable-mpdvdkit (or something like that) so that it uses libdvdread
for DVD support, and try again.

Or you could try with vobcopy as Reimar suggested, but since you listed
other programs that use dvdread, but couldn't play your DVDs I doubt
you'll have any more success.

I happen to have an older Alpha here, just taking up space...  If you
tell me know what distro you're using, I can try to reproduce it myself.

Perhaps this is some endian issue?  Does anyone else on this list with
an Alpha have DVD/CSS support working?
