Interesting. I just now realized that my machine uses shared memory for the 
video card and that it was set to 8 MB (...)
I've now raised it to 32MB in BIOS (more isn't possible), but still have the 
1440x1080 limit. Strange calculation...
Anyone a clue how exactly this is calculated?
However, it's a pain to operate with H.264-HD content on such miserable 
hardware, I have to talk to the boss...
