FAAD changed their license to something not GPL-compatible, so don't
expect an update any time soon.  

Somebody needs to fork the last GPL'd version of FAAD, and work on
getting it up-to-speed.  There's talk of an AAC codec in libavcodec, but
that's certainly a long ways off as well.
