Jan and RC,

I guess I dont understand...

On Linux I can do the command "mplayer http://IP/video.avi -endpos 30"
Which will play 30 seconds of the video stream. Fantastic works great....

On Windows when I execute the exact same command "mplayer http://IP/video.avi -endpos 30"
I get an error message that says
"Unknown option on the command line: -endpos"

This is what I am talking about that "-endpos" is not supported under windows.

However - your statement above about "it will remain identical to behavior on unix"
I dont understand. I am wanting identical behavior and I get the command line error.

THanks for trying to help... Obviously I am missing something.

Jerry

NOTE: I'm working on the thread problem...
