You'll note that one thing I said was that I didn't propose this as a  
final answer to the problem, but as a starting point, something for  
other people to build off of. In addition, the idea wasn't to  
moderate individuals, but threads, and only when problems come up  
(such as the problems in the divx 6 thread, which prompted this  
entire fiasco). I don't like the idea of moderation, but unchecked  
flamewars only damage the community. So, unless people can mange to  
control themselves, SOMETHING should at least be considered.
